True health includes not only moving your body well and often, but fuelling your body optimally. Work with me if you’re having problems putting the two together.
First, we’ll make sure you’re getting adequate protein.
Speaking as a former long-term vegetarian, my definition of a healthy world now includes eating animal protein — and it still includes animals being raised well and respectfully. (Here‘s more on my approach to that.)
Next, we’ll look at the balance of the other macronutrients (i.e. carbohydate and fat, AKA anything else with calories in it) that’s right for you at your current size and activity level. And speaking as a mostly-recovered sugar-holic, I definitely know from experience how challenging this can be!
Finally, we’ll focus onĀ building and sustaining healthy eating habits for the long term. Our mantra? “Monitor, evaluate and adjust.”
